Hailing from the Gateway of the Great Smoky Mountains, Seth Mulder & Midnight Run began its journey in February of 2015, at the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This group of friends and musicians created a band tied to the rich traditions of bluegrass music, yet one that offers a fresh approach to that “High Lonesome” sound. With each member drawing from a variety of influences, including bluegrass, country, and rock, Seth Mulder & Midnight Run’s sound was born.
With over 200 dates a year, their high-energy style of bluegrass has taken them all over the world. From Danny Stewart’s Alaskan Bluegrass Cruise, Bluegrass On The Beach Lake Havasu, AZ, and two tours in Ireland, England, and Scotland, to name a few. When not on the road, you can find them at the Gateway of the Great Smoky Mountains, where they have become a popular staple as a house band at the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Seth Mulder & Midnight Run has completed 3 albums to date on their own label. Two live projects recorded at the Ole Smoky Moonshine Holler in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and a full-length studio album released in the summer of 2020. They recently signed with the Nashville-based record label, Billy Blue Records, and will be working with famed songwriter/producer Jerry Salley. A new single is in the works, and the full-length album will be released in 2021.
Having been referred to as one of the most entertaining new acts on the bluegrass scene today, Seth Mulder & Midnight Run is a band you don’t want to miss. Be on the lookout for them at a festival near you!
